Dr. Srinivasa Rao
Dr. Srinivasa Rao is a Biomedical Scientist and experienced educator, innovator in R&D, liaison business development, and startups. His teaching experience has been as an adjunct or visiting faculty in Cell and Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Biotechnology at City University of New York, USA.
His research experience has been in the areas of molecular genetics of Hemoglobinpathies during his Ph.D. at the University of Paris, France, gene expression and regulation (Postdoctoral – Columbia University & Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, and matrix biology and molecular/enzyme detection assay development (Principal Investigator– LIJMC, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York, 1993).
Dr. Rao has published over 30 peer-reviewed scientific articles, presented, participated, organized, chaired, and co-chaired several scientific meetings over the last 25 years in France, USA, and India. He holds three (related) US patents, with more in the pipeline.
Dr. Anjali Kulkarni
Dr. Anjali Kulkarni is an Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Botany, Savitribai Phule Pune University,
Pune. Previously she was Scientist (Principal Investigator) on DBT-BioCARe Project at Dept. of
Botany, University of Pune.
Dr. Kulkarni was a consultant with Nucleus Solutions, Pune, a consultancy firm in Supply Chain
Management and Biotechnology. Invited Lecturer for Cell Biology, Plant Biotechnology at IBB,
University of Pune. Co-guide of 4 M.Sc. student projects. Prior to this, she worked as a Scientist at Anujeeva Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., Pune, where her research focused on medicinal plants having anti-diabetic and anti-microbial properties. She also worked on a collaborative project with the Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology (IBB), University of Pune related to identification of plants preventing apoptosis and their chemical characterization.
Dr. Kulkarni has several years of teaching and research experience right from the days when she was Lecturer at the Department of Biotechnology, University of Pune. She has authored several articles in popular digital and printed media, several book chapters. She has also authored several peer -reviewed scientific publications in international journals.
Dr. Radhika Hedaoo
Dr. Radhika Hedaoo is an Assistant Professor in the Nutrition and Dietetics Program, Symbiosis
Institute of Health Sciences, Symbiosis International University, Lavale, Pune, India. She is Convener, Nutrition Society of India, Pune Chapter as well as Faculty Ambassador of AFSTI, Pune Chapter.
With more than 15 years of experience in the field of foods and nutrition including hospitals, wellness, academia and research, Dr. Hedaoo has received State Level Award for Nutrition- Academics by IAPEN-India, 2023. She has also chaired different oral and poster research abstract presentations at Nutrition Society of India National Conferences and IAPEN National Conference. She has several peer-reviewed publications in international scientific journals.
Dr. Hedaoo is recognised as a Global education Influencer for nutrition education delivery for school children by Education Influence, Australia. She has developed “My Nutrition Guide” –a two-credit program for non-nutrition undergraduate students as a health promoting university initiative as well as developed and supervised different food product development studies.
She is a Nutritionist Panelist for KIDZEE, Pune. She has also developed Nutritainment module for nutrition education for school children.
